There are two ways of submitting your CEEPUS Student Mobility application:
- Within a CEEPUS network
If your home institution is part of a CEEPUS network that has a relevant scientific topic for you, you can submit your application within that network, to the available Hungarian partner institutions. The call for applications will be published by your home institution and the local network coordinator carries out the selection. You can get to know more about the available Networks at Pázmány Péter Catholic University here.
- As Freemover
If your home institution is not part of a CEEPUS network that has a relevant scientific topic for you, you can choose to submit a Freemover application. Any of the accredited Hungarian higher education institutions can be chosen as host institution - you can submit a Freemover application to Pázmány Péter Catholic University. Find more information about Freemover mobility here.
General application conditions for students
- Active student status in the host institution in a bachelor's, master's or doctoral program during the scholarship period (this is not a condition for submitting an application).
- At least 2 completed semesters at the time of departure (including previous bachelor's and master's programs). A bachelor's (BA) graduate cannot apply for the next academic year, BUT if he/she will be a master's (MA) program from September, he/she can apply for the second semester.
- Citizenship of a CEEPUS country.
- Citizens of non-CEEPUS countries can apply by uploading an 'Equal Status' document (e.g. proof of student status in English at the sending institution).
- Applicants can not travel to a country that is the same as their citizenship or place of habitual residence.
- Applicants can not receive any other scholarship during the scholarship period (exclusion of double funding). CEEPUS scholarship holders may not simultaneously receive any other publicly funded support (Erasmus+, Erasmus Mundus, International Visegrad Fund, Stipendium Hungaricum). An exception to this is the support for short-term (ST or STE) mobility of scholarship holders participating in the Stipendium Hungaricum and Diaspora Scholarship Programmes for a maximum of 30 days in another CEEPUS country.
- Participation in the CEEPUS Program requires the support of the network coordinator / partner coordinator of the given network at your host institution; in the case of freemover mobility, an application can be submitted with a Letter of Recommendation signed by at least two different teachers and a Letter of Acceptance from Pázmány.
- PhD students who are also employed as lecturers can decide on the online application platform whether to apply as a student or teacher, but the planned activities presented in the application must be in line with the status.
- Any other conditions imposed by the sending and receiving institutions.
- The entire scholarship period for students may not exceed 10 months per training cycle.
- The mobility may be extended to one academic year, but the scholarship period may not be interrupted in this case either. The end date of the original application continues directly with the start date of the new application (to extend the scholarship period, a new application can be uploaded, which is not subject to the regular deadline. The exact number of the previous application (six-digit unique identifier) as well as the fact and justification of the extension must be indicated in the Motivation section of the application.)
- At least intermediate (B2) English language skills, as the language of the CEEPUS Programme and the application itself is in English.
